Breakfast Hash

In these past few months of quarantine, versatility is the name of the game when it comes to my grocery shops. Not wanting to go out more than I have to having different ingredients that can really lend themselves to different meals is SUPER helpful. One of my favorite ways to use up these ingredients in my favorite meal, breakfast is a hash.

I have an equation for a hash that makes it filling, satisfying and of course healthy! Here it is: lean protein + veggies + carb/starch = the best hash you’ve ever had. Okay, I might be biased because I am totally a savory breakfast person. But still delicious nonetheless! Check out my recipe for a breakfast hash.

Yes, it is really as simple as that to have a quick and filling breakfast. I personally also add things to this depending on my mood to change up the flavors a bit. Things like hummus and even sauerkraut are great toppers. Also adding an egg to the mix or subbing that for meat can make it a wonderful vegetarian option as well!

This can be used with a multitude of subs and swaps. Things like sweet potato, kale, turkey sausage, bacon, the options are truly endless! And like I said before, it is truly great to use in those end of the shop kind of meals to use those veggies that are just about to turn.
